Sightseeing throughout this itinerary

Lioux :
The old village at the foot of the falaise (cliff) de la Madeleine (700 m long), the Romanesque church of St. Romain.

Joucas :
Wander along the paved lanes of this village full of character and discover a unique panorama of the Luberon range. Church of St-Jean-Baptiste (end of 18th century), many artists’ workshops.

Roussillon : Tourist Information Center
The « Ochre » village where everything revolves around the working of the precious natural colouring agent. The discovery trail wanders along the cliffs (former quarries) and the Conservatoire des Ocres (Ochre Conservatory), set up on a former production site gives a contemporary vitality to this tradition.

Gargas : Town hall +33 (0) 4 90 74 12 70
Permanent ‘terre d’ocre’ exhibition, you can visit the factory of the Société Ocrière de France (Friday in summer). Guided tour of the Buoux cliff (mine tunnels).

Villars :
Decorated with flowers, this small village is perched on a small hill. Here you are ! in the «Pays des ocres» where architecture and nature are harmoniously mixed.

Saint-Saturnin-les-Apt :
You will certainly appreciate the heart of the village with beautiful old houses with sculpted porches. To be seen: the ruins of the castle, the walls, Saint Pierre d’Agnane Priory and the mill.
