The itinerary in France : from Perthus to Menton

In France, the EuroVelo 8 offers a large variety of landscapes : seaside, ponds, canals, Provence hinterland, classified sites... from Le Perthus at the Spanish border to Menton at the Italian border. This 850km long cycle route itinerary goes through Béziers, Narbonne, Montpellier, Sète, Tarascon, Manosque, Draguignan et Nice. Today, 80% of the itinerary is done in the South of France.

Ideas of biking tours on the EuroVelo 8

La Véloroute du Calavon

This 37 km-long cycle ride which is part of the EuroVelo 8 follows the path of an old railway track. The itinerary is crossing an old Roman bridge (called "le Pont Julien") going along the Calavon river and stopping at the foot of the Luberon massif.

Cannes and La Littorale

Take a bike trip on "La Littorale", cycling path of 74 km, going from Théoule-sur-Mer to Menton crossing Cannes and its famous "Croisette". Partly laid out, you can cycle on 21 km between Antibes and the old harbour of Nice regarding this leaflet (in french).

Greenway from Narbonne to Port-la-Nouvelle

This beautiful greenway of 22 km allows you to enjoy the seaside by bike, going along the "Canal de la Robine". To facilitate your trip, SNCF train station of Narbonne and Port-la-Nouvelle allow you to bring your bike in the TER trains.
