Le Jardin botanique de la Citadelle - EN

The garden on the heights of the Citadelle estate has been laid out in terraces over 5 hectares. There is a magnificent view of the Luberon and vineyards. It’s a good idea to wear appropriate shoes for your walk, where you’ll come across no fewer than 400 different plant species.

A wide variety of plants – medicinal, aromatic, wild edible, and even magical – are set out in large wooden containers. Each terrace has its own theme: aromatic herbs in one, edible plants in another, medicinal plants in a third, and so on.
The panoramic view from this hilltop garden is well worth the detour! In front of you lies the village of Ménerbes, and a little further on the Monts de Vaucluse, overlooked by the majestic Mont Ventoux.
To extend your visit, check out the Musée du Tire-Bouchon (corkscrew museum) and wines produced on the estate.

Only accessible on foot. Wear closed shoes.
