A colourful itinerary!

This itinerary, accessible to all, goes through some of the most beautiful landscapes and some of the most remarkable villages in the Luberon Regional Natural Park via small picturesque and uncrowded roads.

A land of materials and colors where light plays with the contrasts of the seasons, the ochre deposits of Vaucluse are exceptional natural sites.

Let yourself be impregnated by the magical beauty of these places!

The connections make it possible to shorten the route: you are free to walk 15 km on a small loop.

This route takes small roads near the ochre sites. You won't have to pedal on the ochre trails!

GOOD TO KNOW:

Come and discover the exceptional site of the ochre massif, between Roussillon and Colorado Provençal, in the Vaucluse, thanks to the new application 'Ochres by bike' for smartphones and tablets, created by the Parc du Luberon.

Fun and accessible to all, it will guide you in all serenity, on small quiet roads to meet the riches of the earth, landscapes and ochre sites of the Luberon.

This application shows you places that deserve a stop when you pass nearby and offers this discovery through various media: videos, audios, texts, quizzes, games, augmented reality...

It offers 4 bike routes (VTC recommended) and each loop has a different theme:

Roussillon loop: 14.9 km, 2h30. The exploitation of ochre, underground quarries or open pit quarries.
Apt loop: 25 km, 3:45. History of the land of Apt from geological times to modern times.
Rustrel loop which contains a shorter variant: 19 km, 2h45 or 11 km, 2h. In the shoes of a geologist, looking for Colorado. This loop and especially its short version is more particularly dedicated to families and children.
Caseneuve loop: 26.8 km, 3:45. Rocks, fossils, landscapes and people.
