A superb hike that will take you from the slopes of the little Luberon to the Monts de Vaucluse with a stop by the unmissable Fontaine-de-Vaucluse.

Not to be missed:

Cavaillon: Roman arch, cathedral and cloister, chapel of the great convent, synagogue (17th century), Comtadin Jewish museum, Saint James Chapel, the Hermitage, Museum of the Hotel Dieu. Market on Monday morning.

Les Taillades: the listed site of the old village built on open-air stone quarries, the Théâtre des Carrières, the Chapel Saint-Gens (exit from the village).

Robion: Romanesque church of the 12th century. In the heart of the old village, the calades, the Portalet, ramparts of the 14th century. On the side of the Petit-Luberon the lime oven and the Théâtre de Verdure.

Lagnes: village at the foot of the Monts de Vaucluse. Old castle, chapels, fountains and washrooms (temporary exhibition space).

Fontaine-de-Vaucluse: the source, ruins of the castle of the bishops, church of Notre-Dame de Saint-Véran, ruins of a Roman canal, the Santon Museum, the Petrarch Museum, the crystallery of the Popes, the paper mill.
Saumane-en-Vaucluse: the castle refurbished in the 15th century by the family of Sade (limited visits), the Romanesque church Saint-Trophime.

Isle-sur-la-Sorgue: the 'Venice Provençale' with its impellers and the Canals of the Sorgues. The Collegiate Church of Our Lady of the Angels, (rebuilt in the 17th century), the Wheat Attic, the Hotel Donadeï in Campredon (René Char house). Many antique dealers. Market every Thursday and Sunday morning.
