From one bank to the other of the Calavon River, the itinerary takes you through the perched villages between the Luberon and the Monts de Vaucluse.

This circuit follows in the steps of an agrarian civilisation which knew the best ways to enhance and tame stone (bories, terraces, small walls).

Direction of the itinerary :

Ménerbes => Goult => Murs => Joucas => Saint-Pantaléon => Les Beaumettes => Ménerbes

Sightseeing throughout this itinerary

Ménerbes : Tourist Information Center
The small Hôtel de Ville square with its belfry and the old hospital (today the House of truffles and wine). 14th century church with altar-piece. Wide panoramic view from the old cemetery.

Goult : Tourist Information Center
The Romanesque Saint-Sébastien church, the fort of the high village, the Conservatoire of  cultivation terraces (walk). The Notre-Dame-de-Lumière priory (below the village).

Murs :
Traditional habitat and shady squares, good for restful stops.

Joucas :
Picturesque village, stone-paved streets, contemporary art exhibition.

Saint-Pantaléon :
Romanesque chapel, surrounded by tombs cut into the rock, the village.

Les Beaumettes :
Many restored and inhabited troglodyte dwellings.
